The woman with no face

I am the man with no face.
My eyes must not see.
I am blinded.
My ears must not hear.
I am deafened. My nose must not smell.
I am taste-less

My tongue must not speak.
I am speech-less

My lips must not move.
I am immutable

My face is sealed,
entombed in silence,
I must absorb, accept;

I must "take" it,Power-less.
I pay the money,
I choose the product,
But I am not the ultimate consumer.

I don't quite know how I stumbled accross this poem, but I've been reading it non stop for the last few days. I love the intricacy, and I really think you are saying something powerful. You capture the way I often feel.

I'm saddened to see this is the only poem on the site....do you have any more that you could share with us?
